The RSS is now capable of supporting the additional frequencies allowed by the Federal Government using 12.5 kHz bandwidth. This RSS will allow the user to scroll to and program these frequencies in the radio. These new freqencies are applicable for UHF and VHF band radios only. Other Enhancements: 1. The squelch alignment for 12.5 kHz and 20 kHz bandwidth screens have been simplified. Previously these screens did not display the current setting of the squelch alignment in the codeplug. Therefore, the user would tune squelch, and upon reading back the codeplug, the RSS would display the default value instead of the value stored in the codeplug. Now, the RSS displays the offset value that is stored in a separate box in the lower right of the squelch alignment screens. The RSS problems which have been resolved in this release are: 1. Squelch tuning for 800 MHz has been corrected, and now accurately tunes squelch. 2. Invalid TX TPL frequencies sometimes appeared in the Tx TPL Tone field when you change from CSQ to TPL. It was possible to program this incorrect data into a radio. This will cause the receiving radio toremain muted when you would expect it to unmute. This is corrected in this release. 3. There was a problem writing the codeplug ocassionally. This was caused by the length of time required to erase a codeplug location and then write to it. On small or average changes to codeplug, this was not a problem but with large changes to the codeplug, this required slightly more time than the RSS was allowing the radio to have. The time to write the codeplug has been increased by 500ms, and this gives the radio enough time to erase, write and then respond back to the RSS.
